Individual Counseling for Relationship Issues
First Session - 60 minutes
In the therapy world, we call this an “initial assessment.” This is a time for us to get to know each other and start to build our individual counseling relationship. Research shows that the counselor-client relationship is the number one factor to successful therapy. During this time I will gather information from you then we will work together on developing a personalized plan to reach your individual counseling goals to help improve your relationships.
Ongoing Sessions - 50 minutes
This is where you start to take steps to improve your relationships. We will have discussions in individual counseling to help you increase your understanding of what’s going on in your relationships, what’s not working and how to take steps towards positive change.
*All services are offered virtually.
Focused on You
Building our therapeutic alliance is the first step. The therapeutic alliance is our individual counseling relationship where your relationship needs are central and we tackle your concerns together.
Warmth and genuineness are important in relationships especially with your counselor. We understand how difficult relationships can feel. We are focused on creating an experience in individual counseling that will help improve your personal relationships.
Our worldview and individual counseling style is informed by the lived experiences of ourselves and those around us, where cultural context is essential. Culture is a significant part of who we are and impacts our relationships.
Supported By Research
It is important to us that you and your relationships leave individual counseling better than when you started.
We stay informed about the research on individual counseling for relationship issues that talks about the best ways to improve relationships - this helps us give you the most effective support and skills to better your relationships.
We are looking forward to working with you.
